Independence Day Celebrations - 15 th August, 2023

77 th Independence day celebrations was a grand event on 15 th of August, presided over by the President Mr. Laxman Reddy who hoisted the flag, Vice President Mr. Chandra sekhar Yadav, Executive member Mr. Rajashekar Yadav of St. Martin’s Educational committee were also present. Speeches and a song were presented by students. It was a mixture of cultural events and drills where as many as 400 students took part starting from class IV to X. Elocution Competition – 10 th August, 2023

Elocution competition was on 10 th August, 2023. The topic was – “ Why reading is important “ It was a wonderful opportunity for the students classes of VII and VIII to exhibit their oratory skills and ideas. Shanthi House and Shakthi House stood 1 st in the competition. It was a good experience for the children who were waiting for such competitions.

Declamation Competition – 7th August, 2023

Declamation Competition was held on 7th Aug, 2023 for classes 7th to 10th. The piece of speech selected was J.K. Rowling’s, the writer of Harry Potter series. The children performed very well with fluency and articulation.

International Yoga Day – 21st June, 2023

On the eve of 9th International Yog Day students from classes V to VII have given a spectacular synchronized performance of Asanas. Starting with 12 asanas of suryanamaskar followed by sitting asanas such as padmasana, vajrasana etc. sleeping (prone) exercises as Bhujangasana, Dhanurasana and culminated in standing asanas including Vrikshasana and Trikonasana. The amazing show for the day was Advance due poses of Harsha of class IV who stood 3rd in competitions conducted by Council in Telugu states and Geetika of class V combining Sarvangasana, Dimbasana, chakrasana and Ushtrasana. Investiture Ceremony – 28th June, 2023

Over a period of careful observation of students abilities the elected office bearers were invested with their privileges. It was a proud moment for our students when the guest for the day the President of our St. Martins’s Educational society Mr. Laxman Reddy and Vice President Mr. Chandra Sekhar Yadav have graced the occasion accompanied by our Senior Principal Dr, Megha Sen to give their honors. Students with the new badges with added responsibilities presented a disciplined, powerful march past with lot of enthusiasm among the cheers of the parents of the elected office bearers students and staff let’s wish all the newly elected office bearers to carry out their responsibilities

The Kindergarten Show – 2023

Art and Craft done by kindergarten was displayed on March 11, 2023. It was a visual treat for parents and students. The teachers of LKG and UKG collectively and creatively displayed through charts, activities and models whatever they have taught to the children the year- These included origami, charts on alphabets Aa – Zz, numbers 1-10, handprints, newspaper activities etc. Charts on my first two letter words, opposites, action words, 5 magic words, clolours, emotions, food we eat, good habits, means of transport, festivals, days of the week, months of the year, parts of a plant, before and after numbers. NATIONAL SCIENCE DAY

Science week has been observed that culminated on 28th to coincide with National Science Day. Day 1: Started with anecdote of Albert Einstein. Students presented a play named 'Millet Kranti' as this is declared a National Millet Year. The importance and advantages of growing and consuming Millet was conveyed through a short play. Day 2: Started with anecdote of Thomas Alva Edison. A play based on Periodic Table, arrangement of elements by Mendeleev was presented. Some interesting chemical reactions were demonstrated. ART FAIR 2023

St. Martin's High School - Hyderabad conducted an Art Fair on premise on 11th February, 2023. A plethora of art forms were on display, showcasing the versatility and beauty of shapes, patterns and figures. The participants had a lot of fun taking part in this creative and unique activity. Republic Day Celebrations – 26th January, 2023

On Indias 74th Republic Day celebrations held at St. Martins High School - Hyderabad, the Indian National Flag was unfurled, followed by the National Anthem, March Past, and prize distribution. "Mile Sur Mera Tumhara" and Pyramid formations were performed by almost 180 students as parents were invited to witness the event. An alumnus of St. Martins -- Bhavesh Jaiswal accomplished an incredible feat of cycling from Kashmir to Kanyakumari -- a distance of 3,700 km in 23 days. From subzero temperatures of -4 C to a rainy Madhya Pradesh, to a hot Telangana to the humid Kerala, the group passed through 12 states aptly described by Bhavesh as the head to toe of India. 41st Annual Day

St. Martins High School (ICSE, Balanagar) celebrated its 41st Annual Day with a lot of cheer and festivity after a lapse of two years on 12 January 2023! After the school prayer, the school song was sung and the annual welcome address was delivered by the school Principal - Dr. Megha Sen. The guests were felicitated and prizes in the field of Academics, Cultural events and Sports were distributed. Around 26 activities were conducted throughout the year. Some 10 Team events, and 25 Track & Field events were conducted during the Sports Meet. The Best House, each in Academics, Sports and Cultural events were awarded Rolling Cups. On 7th January 2023, Inter House Rangoli Competition was conducted . All four Houses put up colourful displays of Rangoli with the theme Sankranthi.

Food Fest – 2022

The name itself says it is the celebration of flavour. December being one of the greenest months of the year, we usually have ‘Food Fest’ in December. The main objective behind the fest is the planning, systematic arrangements, execution with cleanliness and hygiene in focus. The use of biodegradable, eco friendly bowls and plates was a main agenda. Care was taken to avoid crowding either at counters or stalls for smooth movement for parents. Social Studies Display -2022

A photo exhibition was held on 10th Dec, 2022 (2nd Saturday) based on theme “Know Country”. Photos related to National Insignia, Monuments, Temple architecture of ancient India . Famous Personalities (Noble Pize winners, Artists, Musicians, Rulers, Sports, Literature) Culture (food, dress, dance forms, festivals ) and Artifacts were displayed. It was India in a nutshell.

Inter House News Reading Competition – 2022 -23

News Reading competition was held on 22nd October, 2022. The students of all the four houses tried their level best to exhibit their talents in News Reading. All the students got the updates of what is happening around the world. The students tried their level best as reporters or weather forecast readers. All the students dressed in their best resembled as actual news readers. The competition ended in a happy note. Shakthi house stood first and Shanthi house in second position in the competition.

Inter School Recitation & Declamation Competition

On 26th November students participated in Inter-School ‘Declamation’ and ‘Poetry Recitation’ competitions conducted by MSB School. The competitions were in three categories- Sub Juniors, Juniors and Seniors. Arushi of Sub-Junior category won second position in Declamation.

Local Trip – WONDERLA 2ND Dec, 2022

The children had a wonderful time at ‘Wonderla’ with a school trip is a memorable event in a student’s life. The school trip means good company, best weather and lovely food all in one.

Inter House Skit Competition – 2022

Inter house skit competition was organized on 7th December, 2022, for Juniors (III to VI Class) and Seniors (VII to X class). The theme for Juniors was based on moral values and seniors message oriented Humorous skit. In Junior category the skit was ‘Tenali Raman and Brinjal Curry’. In Senior Category the skit was ‘Adverse Effect of Mobile Phones’.

Annual Sports Meet – 24th Nov, 2022

The Annual Sport Meet was held between 24th Nov – 26th Nov, 2022. It was opened with school flag hoisting, lighting of torch, oath, March Past and a drill representing all games and sports including cheer leading followed by basket ball, kho kho, Volley Ball and other games. Athletics, Track & Field events were conducted in our Engineering college grounds. The school wore a festive look as the students were dressed up representing their house colours. There was a lot of energy and enthusiasm among the students either playing or cheering.
